May 7, 2013

Dr. John Taylor, VP technical marketing at Gnodal, presented the goals of the Mont Blanc project to the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, part of the Natural Environment Research Council in the UK, at their Research Forum in York, UK. This forum seeks to explore how opportunities for both academia and industry to work in partnership can be developed to exploit research outcomes in the atmospheric sciences. John presented aspects on the Gnodal technology and also its inclusion in the Mont-Blanc prototype. There was a lot of interest in the performance of applications within Climate and Weather modeling and how these may perform in the Mont-Blanc ecosystem.
