Samsung Engineers visit the Barcelona Supercomputing Center

A group of Samsung senior engineers led by the Vice-president JS Choi visited today the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS). The BSC-CNS and Samsung collaborate on Mont-Blanc project, which aims to develop a full energy-efficient HPC prototype using low-power commercially available embedded technology. During the visit, the Mont-Blanc engineers presented to JS Choi, Head of Samsung global DRAM/DRAM module design, and to the rest of principal engineers from the Korean headquarters, the future architecture of the Mont-Blanc prototype to be deployed by 2014. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the excellent relationship with the South Korean company.The meeting ended up with a visit to the supercomputer MareNostrum.
