SiPearl joins Mont-Blanc 2020 consortium

July 15, 2020

As project Mont-Blanc 2020 is in its last year, a new partner recently joined the consortium to help industrialize our technology

SiPearl, the Silicon Pearl is the company that is bringing to life the European Processor Initiative (EPI) project, designing the high-performance, low-power microprocessor for the European exascale supercomputer.

SiPearl was founded in June 2019 by Philippe Notton, General Manager of EPI. Philippe had joined the Atos Group in 2017 to set up the EPI consortium.

By becoming a partner in the Mont-Blanc 2020 consortium, SiPearl will be able to exploit the project’s results towards the new European processor based on Arm technology. This processor will bring Europe one step closer to technological sovereignty for high performance computing and related domains.
